#30DaysofPride Day 7
I am participating in a 30 Days of Pride Challenge and thought that these stories might be an inspiration to you whether you fall somewhere on the rainbow, or just want to live your life more authentically.
Ok yes, I missed yesterday, and I apologize that you didn’t have anything witty or wild or inspiring from me. I took yesterday to get some stuff done for me around the house and even went and blew some folks away with a song or two.
I love when I can silence a bar. (And I love when a place has a great stage for singers)
I had talked about how it took me until my 30s to really step out of my brother’s shadow. One of the ways that happened was because of my love of karaoke.
My brother hated it lol. I swear every time I would convince him to go he moped in a corner, downing his Bud Light and SoCo, and wishing the earth would swallow him whole.
I found my tribe with KJ Karen Purdee, the Girls, and the rest of the circle because of one day walking in and singing “Save a Horse”.
The rest was history. I was doing Karaoke 4-7 nights a week and hitting the afterparties on many of those nights till I decided just to move into the house..
Now if you want more of those stories, pick up my book, “The Awakening”. I wrote it with a thin vampire story so that people would find that year more plausible.
What do you do that makes you shine?
