Your Guide Has Been Where You Are. And We’re Fabulous.

Standing by a waterfall in Tennessee

Hey there, fabulous one! I’m Jeff (JP) Perdue Adkins, your Freedom Jedi. My core mission is to help you build a world where you can live in creativity, authenticity, and empowerment. I don’t just teach this work; I live it. And trust me, the journey to a True Awesome Life is rarely a smooth highway.

In fact, after my relationship of seven years fell apart and my business failed, it still took four years and a nervous breakdown before I finally listened to my intuition and made the changes I knew I needed. That breakdown? It was my breakthrough.

The Stories That Set Me Free (Not in Chronological Order)

The First Steps Out of the Shadows

Coming out is rarely a single event; it’s a journey of stepping into your own truth, again and again. When I finally told my mom, she confronted me and simply stated: “You are gay”. The reaction from my extended family was a tough rollercoaster, but my dad’s response was pure clarity: “Well duh! I knew that.”. I realized authentic living begins when you give acceptance to yourself first.

Love, Loss, and Al-Anon

My fiancé, Edward, was the one great love of my life so far. We built a beautiful life, but it was shadowed by his struggle with addiction. When I had to end our relationship and later faced his passing, I spent time in Al-Anon. That taught me the crucial, heartbreaking lesson: You can’t help someone who doesn’t want to change. You can’t keep burying the pain; numbing yourself doesn’t change anything. You have to find freedom.

Dancing on the Catwalk

I was new to the gay scene and too insecure to get up on the club’s catwalk because of “a little belly”. My brother, the ultimate tough-love coach, blocked my escape and pushed me, yelling over the music: “You will never get this moment again, you will never be this young, this beautiful. Get your ass up there!”. That single moment of being forced past my fear changed my entire perspective. I ask you now: What catwalk are you avoiding?

The Creative Nomad Life

Today, I live an intentional life, restoring a 1977 Skyline Nomad with my young puppies, Prince Rupert & Prince Fredrick. This journey has been a series of “Why Not?” moments, even when a motorhome blew its engine six hours after I bought it. I’m a living testament that you can live your true awesome life no matter what that looks like.
